There’s something symbiotic about Nate Robinson and Marc Gasol competing for a jump ball. The tiny Robinson can jump out of the gym and Marc Gasol may be a hefty big man, but his rebounding numbers should remind you he’s also pretty athletic (this is my #1 pet peeve every time someone concludes Kevin Love isn’t an athlete).
For all the college basketball fans out there (and go ‘Cuse*) the possession arrow is another reason I don’t immerse myself in college hoops. It feels juvenile after playing basketball as a youngster.
*I grew up in upstate New York, so rooting for Syracuse was a must. I have a good story from when they won the title over Kansas with Gerry MacNamara and Carmelo Anthony as freshman.
